Ravka is a cold and dismal place, but you can't help thinking of the hope the people could have. Each order has their place in the world and the world is really captivating. Magic wielding soldiers with their own orders and rankings with the power to summon elements like wind, the power to heal or hurt human beings, or the power to make weapons and mystical technology. The idea of the Grisha themselves kept me glued to the pages. If you want a creative fantasy world with top-notch story telling, look no further than this author's debut novel. Alina's story and the world of Ravka have been playing in my mind ever since I put down the book. I know this book as one freaking fantastic fantasy novel. I am excited for the next in the series. Most people will know this book as Shadow and Bone. Molly is no Katniss or Tris, but she is very like able. I tend to think that most YA heroines are a little too mature for their age. I liked Molly and didn't find her to be immature. Sometimes the author tried too hard with all of the teenage slang, but the main character is a 16 year old girl. I thought this book was a really fun listen! I loved all of the Egyptian mythology and I thought it was a really unique twist on zombies. When Molly is mature enough to admit that she made a mistake, and faces the consequences. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you? I would be willing to listen to her again. I don't think I have listened to any of her other performances, but I liked her. Have you listened to any of Rebecca Gibel’s other performances before? How does this one compare? What was one of the most memorable moments of Undeadly?

There is a lot of teenage slang, so much that it almost seems like the author is trying too hard- but I found that more entertaining than annoying. What made the experience of listening to Undeadly the most enjoyable? Save yourself the time and money/credits and get that one instead. I bought this book when I got Warm Bodies, and actually enjoyed that a lot more than I originally expected to. The author did a very good job creating a picture of what was happening.ĭo you think Undeadly needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?Ĭonsidering the book ended on a cliffhanger, it probably could use a follow up, but I don't think I'll be reading it. My favorite scene would have to be when Molly first uses her powers. The main character seemed very immature for her age, and kept using all kinds of slang that was distracting and got to be very annoying as the story kept going.

What was most disappointing about Michele Vail’s story? It ended up being pretty disappointing even though it sounded like an interesting idea. Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not? Interesting premise, disappointing execution.
